 3:AM collaborator and friend, Lee Rourke (of Scarecrow fame), is this month's featured writer over at dogmatika:
"I am interested in the constant duplications, the routine patterns and the commonplace variations born out of the same dreary themes. There is nothing new or clever in these stories. There is no symbolic meaning. The story lies behind what is written as, in life, the story lies behind what we, through no fault of our own, mind-numbingly repeat over and over again each day. When Raoul Vaneigem declares 'the economy of everyday life is based on a continuous exchange of humiliations and aggressive attitudes' it is these same innumerable and rather unambiguous 'humiliations' and 'aggressive attitudes' that I am trying to unearth in my fictions."
